Each year throughout the gentle slopes of Washington State's famed Columbia
Valley, the cycle begins - the birth of Austin Robaire wines.
Acres of grapes at select vineyards awake from their winter slumber and
burst forth delicate buds. Eastern Washington's unique micro-climates,
plus meticulous vineyard tending, tranform these buds into
tiny taut grapes that, at the peak of ripeness, are carefully plucked from
the vine and delivered into the hands of Austin Robaire's winemaker. Then,
utilizing "old world" techniques, "new world" technology, and an artisan's
flair, he nudges the berries as they undergo their natural evolution into
spectatular, premium wines of intense rich fruit character and soft supple
tannins. These balanced wines can be easily enjoyed upon release, but also
have the innate structure to age gracefully and gain complexity over time.
Austin Robaire, one of Woodinville's boutique wineries, specializes in
limited quantities of premium red wines. Our first wine, a 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon, was released September 2001.
